Water Garden Pond
Michel and Nicole's
By: Michel Cardinal

As agreed I am sending you a few
photos of our garden pond. I took them early this week when
I put in the pumps ( 10,600 gallons and 5400 gallons respectively
) after I had potted your plants and placed them in shallow water
around the edge of the pond. They are looking great!
The pond is an Aquascape, using GRANDE biofalls and skimmer with
4" and
3" PVC flexible pipes, about 30K gallons and roughly 52'x36'.
Waterfall
is about 15' high,5 levels. There is a drainage culvert under the
pond at the waterfall. Large limestones were used in building the
retaining walls. By the way, this is our second Aquascape design
pond so our experience comes in handy in completing it. This one
though will be strictly a water garden feature.

As you can see we are working on the landscaping as well as
putting
more rocks and river stone around the pond. We have tried to
integrate
the waterfall with the adjacent rocky hill..... We moved in last
June
and around August I added several marginal plants and they are
just now starting to appear. We also decided to add about 40 tall
(20 varieties)
grass plants (graminees) around the pond and waterfall. By
July/August
most of these will be 4-6 feet tall. The landscaping concept will
be
north american -using tall grasses flowing in the wind...I'll send
you
more pictures and testimonial as the season matures
and work progresses.

I would like to thank Michel and Nicole for
taking the time to share their pond photos on our website so
others can see great water gardens from our customers and maybe
get some ideas on building a garden pond or maybe renovating an
existing pond.
Thanks again Michel, and look forward to seeing
some updated photos of your garden pond when all the water lilies
are in bloom and you've completed the landscaping around your
pond. An amazing pond Michel, great work!
See the before and after photos of Michel and
Nicoles water garden.
